Long, level, dairy and elegant, Sine Qua Non is a replica of her lovely dam. As a kid, she was 2nd and RGCH Junior at the California State Fair, and 1st and Junior GCH at the Mendocino County Fair. As a dry yearling, she was GCH and BIS at the Gold Country DGA under Karen Senn. Sine finished her championship as a first freshening two year-old at her first two shows. She was also 1st place and Reserve Grand Champion (to her dam, Kuma) at the Sonoma County Fair, 1st place and Reserve Grand Champion at the California State Fair, and then finished the year off by going Grand Champion and Best In Show at the Mendocino County Fair. As a three year-old, Sine continued her winning ways, placing Grand Champion at the extremely competitive Sonoma County Fair; Grand Champion and Best In Show at the Mendocino County Fair; she also won three additional Best of Breeds.

Sine has matured into our best doe ever. She has tremendous size and scale, but remains balanced and correct. Her mammary system is extremely well attached with high and tight rear and fore attachments. In 2007, Sine's strongest win came at the Sonoma County Fair where she was Grand Champion and Best Udder of Breed, defeating both the reigning 2007 National and Reserve National Alpine Champions. In addition, Sine was Best of Breed and Best in Show in all three rings at the REDGA doe shows where she was shown (including the District VIII Specialty), 1st place Four Year-Old and Reserve Best Alpine Udder at the California State Fair, and Grand Champion and Best in Show at the Mendocino County Fair. In 2008, in very limited showing, Sine was Grand Champion and Best-In-Show at the Sonoma County Fair and District VIII Alpine Specialty, placing over several National Champions. She was also Best-In-Show at the Mendocino County Fair. In 2009, Sine was 1st place 5-6 year old at the Nationals, and Reserve National Champion and Reserve Best Alpine Udder. The next week, she was Grand Champion and Best Udder at the Sonoma County Fair, the 4th consecutive year she has been awarded the title. At the 2009 California State Fair, the District VIII Alpine Specialty show, she was Grand Champion and Best Alpine Udder.

Although she has only one milking daughter (see Wanton), Sine is proving to be an outstanding brood doe; her son Zeitgeist is our very correct junior herdsire, and at the 2009 Nationals her granddaughters were 1st place Intermediate Kid, 1st place Junior Yearling and National Junior Champion, and 2nd and 4th place Milking Yearlings. We have carefully selected Sine’s breeding to *B Sweet Dreams Nixon’s Affirmed, son of SGCH Sweet Dreams Silver Charm (EX 93) and paternal grandson of, SGCH Nixon’s Dynamite Jeannine (EX 93). Affirmed’s first milking daughters are stunning. Sine is due in April.
