A stylish, level doe with her dam’s  correct  front end and a  flat, wide rump, she has near ideal bone structure with excellent balance between strength and dairiness. Modern Dancer also has an outstanding mammary system, exhibiting extremely correct shape, high rear attachment with extreme arch, and well-extended, pocketless fore udder.  Her strengths in both general appearance and mammary have led to a very successful show career. In 2007, Modern placed 1st in the Aged Doe class at the California State Fair. Her daughter, Surreal, owned by UC Davis, appraised EX91 at four years of age. 

As as a yearling milker she placed 1st at five shows, including at  the Sonoma County Fair.  As a two year-old, she easily finished her permanent championship, winning GCH three times, including REDGA, and RGCH four times.  She was also 1st place two year-old and three year-old at the Sonoma and Mendocino County Fairs. In 2003, she was 1st place four year-old at the California State Fair and Mendocino County Fair, and 2nd place at Sonoma, where she also won Best Alpine Udder. At 8 years, Modern remains extremely correct. She is bred to Freelance and is due in March.
